William Henry Moorhead, hay and straw, commission;

born in: Belfast, Ireland, on November 16, 1860;

son of: Jacob Moorhead and Alice Moorhead, nee: Alice Bell

came to Chicago with parents in childhood;

married: Alice Moorhead2, nee: Alice Blair, in DeKalb County, Illinois, on October 11, 1883;

children: Walter George Moorhead, Maude B. Moorhead

Started in retail feed business July 20, 1883,

and after 8 years, sold out and engaged in the commission business with Kilmer Commission Company;

bought an interest in 1895, and since member firm of Van Wie & Moorhead.
