Parents: Daniel Ferguson and Sarah Ferguson, nee: Sarah Pollock

Educated: public schools, Canada.

Married: Mary Ferguson, nee: Mary Cleghorn, in Muskegon, Michigan on Thursday, November 25, 1875.

Children: Hugh Daniel Ferguson, William Ferguson-2, Margaret Ferguson, May Ferguson, and Bessie Ferguson.

Learned foundry trade in Chatham-Kent, Ontario, Canada

Then came to US

Was in Denver 3 years, in Nebraska, 3 years, later in Ottumwa, Iowa

Came to Chicago in 1888.

In 1889, established the William Ferguson Foundry Company, which changed in 1903 to Ferguson & Lange Foundry Company, manufacturers of light and heavy castings, of which is President and Director.

Independent in Politics.

Member: St. Andrews Society, Royal Arcanum, Independent Order of Odd Fellows.

Club: Press Club, Life Member.

Office: Clybourn Avenue and Willow Street.
