This Fifth Avenue is not to be confused with the temporary name "Fifth Avenue" that was applied to Wells Street from 1870 to 1918.
In order to attract business, this street, formerly named Colorado Avenue, was named Fifth Avenue after the famous Fifth Avenue in New York City.
