Tyler died in October 1936 in the home of his son-in-law, Glen T. Hoffman, 3100 N. Sheridan Road.
Deputy Sheriff Albert L. Little, 10721 S. Hoyne Avenue claimed, at Albert S. Tyler's death, to be the only living blood relative. Little filed a suit claiming he was left out of Tyler's $3,000,000 estate/will. For details see: Chicago Tribune, October 20, 1936, page 18.
