Town Pump

The Town Pump's original location was at 6348 N. Western Avenue (on the west side of Western Avenue). The company, Town Pump, Inc., contracted to build a new 1940s-1950s nightclub at 6345 N. Western Avenue (across the street). This new location was built in 1947, and the architect was Benjamin H. Stein of 646 N. Michigan Avenue.
The company also operated the Town House restaurant at 6935 N. Sheridan Road.
When it closed, the building was sold and Sally's Original Bar-B-Q moved in.
