The Patch

The name Patch comes from the St. Ignatius area in Rogers Park by Loyola University. During the 1930s the St. Ignatius neighborhood was known as a little "patch" of Irish in a predominantly Jewish neighborhood. This area is supposed to be where the Edgewater Country Club was built.
