6300 N. from 940 W. to 4822 W. This street is in West Ridge - ONLY

The Chicago City Council passed a lengthy ordinance January 14, 1895, rationalizing the street naming system. Because Rosemont Avenue did not exist at this time, no Rosemont Avenue addresses need conversion.

John Lewis Cochran, the developer of Edgewater named this street after his hometown, Rosemont, Pennsylvania, a suburb along the Main Line, a Commuter Rail line running west from Philadelphia.
