Organized in 1902, Rogers Park English Evangelical Lutheran Church was located at 1701 W. Morse Avenue at Paulina Street.

The English Synod of the General Synod began work in Rogers Park in 1901. The first service was held Nov. 3, 1901, using the building of the Methodist church. Formal organization took place Jan. 5, 1902.

The building of the Congregational church at Morse and Paulina, built in 1890-1891, was purchased in August 1904.

Remodeled in 1909-1912 and in the 1920s and 1940s. In 1953 the church was renovated and rededicated on April 4, 1954.

An extension was built in 1967-1968, including an education wing and a new parsonage.

In 2000 Rogers Park merged with St. Mark's (1922, ULCA) to form Light of Christ at 7045 N. Western Avenue. Light of Christ dissolved in 2007.
