In 1995 Philip Hamp partnered with John Vinci to form Vinci | Hamp Architects. Mr. Hamp received a B.A. from the University of Michigan in 1976 and a Master of Architecture from the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee in 1980. Mr. Hamp has over 25 years experience with the restoration of historic architecture, museum installations and the design of new buildings. His recent restoration work includes the Illinois State Capitol, the re-installation of the permanent collection galleries at the Art Institute of Chicago, the Henry Ford Museum. and the University Club of Chicago. His new buildings include the Skokie Country Club and several private residences. Mr. Hamp has taught historic preservation at the University of Illinois - Chicago, is a past board member of Landmarks Illinois and presently serves on the Illinois Historic Sites Advisory Council. He was elected to the AIA College of Fellows in 2006.
