Peter Breit, Jr. and his wife, Anna, nee: Schirra, born 1864, lost their two eldest sons as infants, and raised 3 daughters and 4 sons. Peter Breit, Jr. opened a greenhouse at (now) 7455 N. Ridge Boulevard.
One of Peter's and Anna's sons, Alois A., born 1887, and his wife, Margaret, nee: Margaret Kloss, born in 1890, continued occupancy of the family home and worked as a gardener for the Benedictine Monastery that was established across Ridge in 1906.
