Mrs. Kreb

Mrs. Kreb was the sister of David Simpson, who was the third president of Marshall Field's (now Macy's). He also was the original owner of the house at 1044 Sherwin Street (now 1526 W. Sherwin Avenue).

This unique house was willed by David Simpson to his sister. She lived there until her death in 1960. The estate passed back to the Simpson's sons who sold it to Soto Colovos and Phyllis Colovos.
