Ervin R. Mondl, age 89, beloved husband of Eleanore K. Mondl, nee: Eleanore K. Finco; loving father of Kathleen Mondl wife of Nicolas Neher and Dennis E. Mondl Wife: Barbara Mondl and the late Andrew T. Mondl;

Devoted grandfather of Kara McFerren, daughter of John McFerren, and Blane Neher and Brian (Amie), Daniel, Tim and Kevin Mondl; great-grandpa of Alexander and Quintin McFerren; dear brother of the late Minnie Fecil, Emily Tatman, John, Edward and Vernon Mondl; fond uncle of many nieces and nephews.

He co-founded Ed and Erv's Centrella Food Mart on the northside of Chicago (est 1947). Erv was an avid Bears, Blackhawks and Cubs fan. He was a fisherman extraordinaire.

Funeral Tuesday, November 11, 2008 at 9:30 a.m. from the John E. Maloney Funeral Home, 1359 W. Devon Avenue, to St. Margaret Mary Church, 2324 W. Chase Avenue, Mass 10 a.m. Interment All Saints Cemetery.

Visitation Monday, November 10, 2008 from 3 to 9 p.m. In lieu of flowers contributions to St. Margaret Mary Parish appreciated.
