Masons (also known as A.F.& A.M. -- Ancient Free and Accepted Masons) Apparently there were two masonic temples in Rogers Park. One on the northwest corner of Clark Street and Lunt Avenue and a later one east of Clark Street at 1716 W. Lunt Avenue. The latter was sold to the Hare Krishna.

October 7, 1896 - The State of Illinois granted a charter for the Rogers Park Masonic Temple.

RPWRHS photo R044-0220 shows This was the first of the two Masonic Temples in Rogers Park and was located on the northwest corner of Lunt Avenue and Clark Street. In the early 1890s this was in the main building of the Doland Block. The date given is 1890.
