Located at 1559 W. Howard Street, the Limehouse Restaurant operated from 1931 to 1954, offering Cantonese and American dishes and on weekends it offered dancing to live orchestras, such as the Duane Woodruff Orchestra. It also offered fashion shows that included a bridal display.

The restaurant was owned by Benjamin Jo, known as the "Mayor of Chinatown."

After passing through several owners, it became home to Chicago's Wisdom Bridge Theater from 1959 to 1973.

This location was featured in the 2009 Annual House Tour.

The addresses could be either 1559 or 1561 W. Howard Street.

Also, there is a discrepancy of dates which also needs to be resolved.
