son of: Leon Romanski2 and Leopolda Romanski;

brought to U.S. in infancy;

education: grammar and high schools in Chicago; Northwestern Business University;

married: Mary Romanski, nee: Mary Meyrer, of Covington, Kentucky, on September 7, 1907.

Began in employ of George F. Foster & Sons, manufacturers of society goods;

with Dugger, Neal & Luhnow Coal Company, 1896-1904,

O'Gara, King & Company, coal, 1903-6,

Lincoln-Springfield Coal Company, 1906-7,

Eureka Coal & Dock Company, 1907-10;

president and manager Atlas Coal & Coke Company, since 1910.

Member: of National Coal Association, Chicago Coal Merchants' Association, Chicago Coal and Coke Exchange (president).
