John Barron Waldo, secretary and treasurer of the Chicago Envelope Company.;

born in: Chicago, on August 27, 1860;

son of: John A.B. Waldo and Susan M. Waldo, nee: Susan M. Blaisdell

education: Chicago public schools, graduating from high school, 1879;

married: Ida Waldo, nee: Ida Ray in Jefferson, Wisconsin, on June 10, 1899.

Worked on the Chicago Commercial Bulletin as editorial writer, editor-in-chief, 1885 to 1890.

Editor of Chicago Dry Goods Reporter until 1903;

started the Chicago Apparel Gazette, published by the Waldo-Fairchild Company, which also published The Daily Trade Record in Chicago and Men's Wear in New York, and conducted these until 1903, when sold out to Mr. Fairchild.

Since October 1, 1903, secretary and treasurer of the Chicago Envelope Company, manufacturers of envelopes,

and secretary and treasurer of the Photograph Company of America.

Independent in politics.

Club: Press Club.

Office: 63 Market Street.

Residence: 1039 W. Sherwin Avenue.
