James N. Pritzker paid $1.7 million for Frank Lloyd Wright's Emil Bach House on Sheridan Road in Rogers Park, according to property records. The seller, Jane Elizabeth Feerer, bought the famous architect's Prairie-style home at a 2005 auction for $1.17 million. She financed the acquisition with a loan for just under that amount from a trust controlled by Mr. Pritzker, president and CEO of investment firm Tawani Enterprises Inc., according to property records. At the time, Ms. Feerer was an executive at Chicago-based Tawani, but the firm says she no longer works there. Mr. Pritzker, who founded the Pritzker Military Library in 2003, didn't return a message. The sale closed in mid-October. Mr. Wright designed the four-bedroom residence, completed in 1915, for the owner of Bach Brick Company, Inc.. The property was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1979.

After retiring from her position as Senior Vice-president and Chief Financial Officer of Tawani Enterprises in Chicago, Illinois, Reverend Jane Elizabeth Feerer, chose St. Luke's Episcopal Church Coeur d'Alene as her new home in 2011. Along with significant administrative talents, she brings years of experience as a parish priest and Navy chaplain to our congregation.
