Inga Hanson, a Salvation Army girl, brought a sensational suit against the Chicago City Railway Company that went on for five years. She was found guilty of Perjury on February 11, 1905.

She sued the railway company for damages on account of injuries received by her in a street railway accident, which she alleged deprived her of speech, sight, hearing, and power of locomotion. She eventually lost the suit and claimed to have been restored to health by a miracle.
