John F. Harding, hotel proprietor; owner/creator of the famous Harding's Colonial Room Restaurant and Harding's Corned Beef.

John is the younger brother of Police Captain Patrick James Harding.

born in Peru, Illinois, on August 13, 1866;

son of John and Hannah Harding, nee: Hannah Prendergast.

educated in the public schools of Peru,Illinois;

married: Nettie L. Rigby, of Peru, Illinois, on November 12, 1891;

children: Mae (Mrs. Daniel J. Coyne, Jr.), Edith, James P., and Martin P.

In the liquor business, 1891-1912;

proprietor and president of: Hotel Planters Co. since 1912.

Democrat.
