Hamilton’s Bar and Grill

Hamilton’s Bar and Grill, located at 6341 N. Broadway closed on October 27, 2012. The Loyola Phoenix reported that the closure was due to financial struggles. "In the economic times that we’re facing…It’s a struggle to make a profit and the future doesn’t look promising," said Frank Sassolino, co-owner and business partner. He said the decision to sell the business was made by the owners as a majority vote.

Loyola University Chicago closed on the purchase of the building that housed Hamilton’s on October 31st. Property management group, Lakeside Management, will be serving the building’s remaining residential tenants in the two apartments above the closed restaurant. All leases will be honored for the duration of their term.

Loyola has not yet determined what the future of the bar/restaurant space will be.
