Oscar Friedman, (1913-1987), 74, a former partner in a North Side delicatessen and later a counterman in a Skokie delicatessen, died Thursday, July 23, 1987, in Skokie Valley Hospital, Skokie. Mr. Friedman, a Skokie resident, was co-owner with his brothers of Friedmen's Restaurant and Deli, 6334 N. Western Avenue, from 1946 to 1974. From 1974 until he retired in 1983, he worked at Kaufman Bagel and Delicatessen Inc., 4905 W. Dempster Street, Skokie. Mr. Friedman was a retired Major in the U.S. Air Force Reserve.

He is survived by his wife Bessie Friedman; a son Mark Friedman; a daughter Debbie Fassino;

Oscar Friedman had two brothers, Louis Friedman and Max Friedman; and a sister, Fay Jacobsen.

Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, July 24, 1987, in the chapel at Piser Funeral Home, 9200 N. Skokie Boulevard, Skokie.
