Born: (on site of new Federal Building), Chicago, Saturday, May 13, 1848.

Son of: Frederick A. Bryan and Ann Bryan, nee: Ann Hodgson.

Siblings: Alfred Cochrane Bryan and John Charles Bryan.

Education: Public Schools of Chicago.

Married: Nellie Bryan, nee: Nellie Wheeler, Chicago, Thursday, November 13, 1873.

Children: May Bryan, now Mrs. May Steinson, (a.k.a. Mrs. H.G. Steinson)

After leaving school, was involved in the drug business and was, for years, with the firm of Burnhams & Van Schaak.

In 1886, became identified in real estate business with brothers Alfred Cochrane Bryan and John Charles Bryan organizing firm of Bryan Brothers, which has since been engaged in an extensive real estate and loan business in charge of Chicago properties.
