Franklin Clarence Mars, sometimes known as Frank C. Mars, was a business magnate who founded the food company Mars, Incorporated, which makes mostly chocolate candy.

Franklin Clarence Mars contracted polio at an early age, and walked with a cane the rest of his life.

Franklin Clarence Mars got married 1902, to Ethel Mars, nee: Ethel Kissack, with whom he had one son, Forrest Edward Mars. The marriage failed.

In 1910 Franklin Clarence Mars married Ethel Veronica Mars, nee: Ethel Veronica Healy, with whom he had one daughter, Patricia Mars.
