Major Frank B. Alsip, plant manager of the Calumet Brick Company, died Saturday at St. Francis Hospital, 12935 S. Gregory, Blue Island, Illinois, from pneumonia. He was born in McGregor, Iowa 48 years ago and has been a resident of Chicago since 1873. He served in the 1st Regiment Illinois Volunteer Cavalry during the Spanish-American War. Major Alsip is survived by a daughter, a brother, and two sisters. The funeral will be held from his late residence in Blue Island, Illinois tomorrow at 2:30 p.m.

The funeral of the Spanish-American War veteran, Major Frank B. Alsip, who was prominent in the brick making business will be held this afternoon at Graceland Cemetery, after short services at the chapel. Mr. Alsip had been a resident of Chicago since 1873.
