Evanston Avenue

Evanston Avenue's name did not please those business owners along its length because of the association between "Evanston" and prohibition/temperance. They finally got the city to change the name to Broadway. Not Broadway Street or Broadway Avenue. Just Broadway.
This is the only street in Chicago that has no street or avenue designation.
