Tries to Assure Burial for Architect's Widow

George Killinger, a lawyer, said yesterday Friday, July 13, 1945 he is trying to save the body of Mrs. Emily Dunn Dinkelberg from use in a medical laboratory and have it buried beside that of her husband Frederick P. Dinkelberg, architect of the Flat Iron Building in New York City and of many loop skyscrapers. Mrs. Dinkelberg died Tuesday, July 3, 1945. Her body lay unclaimed in the Cook County Morgue for a week. Her husband died penniless on Sunday, February 10, 1935, and was saved from anonymous burial by the Chicago Chapter of the American Institute of Architects.

Mrs. Emily Dunn Dinkelberg, who died Tuesday, July 3, 1945, in Cook County Hospital, was buried Wednesday July 18, 1945 in Wunder's Cemetery, it was disclosed yesterday (Thursday, July 19, 1945) by Attorney George Killinger, 1 N. LaSalle Street, a friend of the family. The body of Mrs. Dinkelberg, widow of a noted Chicago architect, Frederick Philip Dinkelberg, had previously claimed by the Demonstration Association of Illinois, which is authorized by the state to claim bodies for use in medical schools. Burial funds were supplied by the American Institute of Architects.
