Doctors General Hospital was located at 6970 N. Clark Street. According to the 1961 Social Service Directory for Chicago, the Hospital was founded in 1959. The Chicago Public Library was unable to find an exact date for the closure for the hospital, however. They have no Social Service Directories for the years between 1961 and 1970. The hospital is not listed in the 1970 edition. A search of the Chicago Tribune Historical Archives did not provide an answer either. The last mention of the hospital in the Chicago Tribune is in a 1966 article. After that, the hospital is no longer mentioned. So it appears to have closed sometime between those two years.
