The Diana M. Brittain Polio Foundation was created in honor of Mrs. Diana M. Brittain, of 2640 W. Greenleaf Avenue, a young mother of two, who died on Saturday, August 2, 1952, of Infantile paralysis, other wise known as Polio. The president was Gilbert H. Brittain, her husband. A total of $2,500 was raised to purchase an Iron lung by members of the Foundation.
