Biographical Sketches of Rogers Park

James Daly was born in Quebec, Canada, Monday, April 17, 1848. He was first engaged in shipbuilding with the firm of Maxwell & Stephenson, up to 1867 when he came to Chicago, and in 1868, became connected with the house of J.V. Farwell & Co. as bookkeeper, his present position.

He has resided in Rogers Park since May 1875, and was one of its school directors for three years.

He was married to Rebecca Daly, nee: Rebecca Reynolds of Quebec, Canada, Wednesday, October 9, 1878.
