Curtis Flying Service Soundex Code C632
The Curtis Flying Service built the Curtiss-Reynolds Field which was dedicated on Sunday, October 20, 1929. It was sold to the U.S. Navy and Military construction at the former Curtiss-Reynolds Field began on Monday, January 4, 1937, followed by an official Naval dedication ceremony in Chicago on Saturday, August 28, 1937.
