Chicago & Evanston Electric Street Railway Soundex Code C220

Mr. Alexander Clark, of South Evanston, John Lewis Cochran of Edgewater, and DeLancey Horton Louderbach of Chicago, the incorporators of the Chicago & Evanston Electric Street Railway will make application for the incorporation of a new company, with a capital stock of $1 million, which will build an elevated road three miles in length through the North Side River District, and connecting with the Chicago & Evanston Electric Street Railway line. It will land the Evanston passengers within one block of Marshall Field’s store and without the necessity of a transfer, for the same cars will run the entire length of both lines. Three-quarters of an hour will be the time in which passengers from Evanston can be transferred to the business center of the city by the new line.
