The three-flat apartment building at 7727 N. Marshfield Avenue owned by Carl Stewart was built in 1913, two years before Germania was annexed to Chicago. Owner Stewart has done a wonderful job of upgrading the units. He has retained the character of the woodwork, layout, and all of the architectural details. The bottom two units are unoccupied (as of May, 2009). Mr. Stewart lives on the third floor.
