C.H. Wharton was the postal Station Y superintendent in (1894).

C.H. Wharton was born in Delaware and was a carpenter. He served as President of the Rogers Park Village Board, 1884.

Biographical Sketches of Rogers Park

C.H. Wharton of the firm of Carpenter & Wharton builders, was born in Laurel, Delaware, November 16, 1849. His came with his parents to Evanston in 1857. His father, being a carpenter, he learned the same trade, and worked with him for five or six years.

In 1873, he came to Rogers Park, working at his trade as a journeyman up to 1877, when he engaged in business for himself, in 1882 forming a copartnership with C.H. Carpenter, as the firm of Carpenter & Wharton, builders.

He has been Village Clerk for one year.

He married Louisa Wharton, nee: Louisa Woodbury, of Whitewater. Wisconsin, June 1, 1B6.
