Byrne, Tom

Tom Byrne, became the new Chicago Police Department's 24th District commander, on Monday, June 15, 1992. Byrne came to City Hall, ordered there by Richard M. Daley to clean up the city's Transportation Department. In 2009, Byrne was appointed the Commissioner of Streets and Sanitation until July 2011.
