Berghaus Pipe Organ Builders, Inc. was founded in 1967 by Leonard G. Berghaus, then a gifted educator and organist. His early passion for the pipe organ prompted extensive training in the art of organ building with a special emphasis on tonal design, voicing and the various forms of key and stop actions. While partially retired, Mr. Berghaus continues to be involved and his commitment and passion are evident in all aspects of the instruments we build.

Brian Berghaus brings a wealth of knowledge, experience and an unwavering commitment to the art and process of modern organ building. Brian began his association with the company in 1987 under the tutelage of his father, Leonard G. Berghaus. As the President of Berghaus Pipe Organ Builders, Inc., Brian works closely with the company’s artisans to insure that each client’s expectations are met or exceeded. Brian’s efforts are also directed toward the tasks of attracting, inspiring and retaining extraordinarily talented employees. The result of these efforts can be seen in the context of the company’s continued expansion and in the beauty of the instruments built under his supervision. Brian is pleased to note that Berghaus Pipe Organ Builders, Inc. is well positioned for its ongoing role as a leader in the pipe organ industry.
