1947 Text

This house is of a one-story, three-bedroom, L-shaped design. The frame exterior house has two baths and a half bath and rests on a slab—there is no basement or attic. A one-car garage is attached. While it has forced-air heating, it does not have air conditioning. This 2,248 sq.ft. house sits on a 6,579 sq.ft. lot, which is the smallest lot of the houses built in the development.

It has an attractive outdoor eating terrace and fireplace. It comes with a large combination dining and living room with an open stone fireplace.

Furnished by Rusnak Brothers, this kitchen has a small, built-in wall table opposite the sink for serving meals. The counter tops and floor are covered in red linoleum.

Winner of the $1,000 prize for his plans of this house was Lt. Wesley Ray Burns, Jr. from Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
