RPWRHS photo B060-0205 shows: Charles was the fourth son of Henry Bosch, a Dutch immigrant born in 1845, who ran a large business that sold paint and wallpaper all across the country. The palatial Bosch residence, at 1316 W. Fargo Avenue, was situated directly on Birchwood Beach. It is shown in a 1910 photograph and was demolished by the 1960s. Note: An attempt to re-form the Birchwood Country Club in this mansion after World War II failed.
