Participatory Budget Exhibit

Living History Speakers Series: Michael James and Katie Hogan

Bar Crawl

The same graduate students in Loyola University's Public History Program who led last year's successful bar crawls will lead another bar crawl this year featuring some new bars. The "Legal Limits" tour in 2016, dealing with the history of drinking in Rogers Park and West Ridge, was so successful we repeated it three years! We anticipate only one repeat of the May 2017 bar crawl in July. Details and registration will be announced soon.

Learning about African Cuisine: Lunch at Restaurant Badou

We’ll meet at the Nigerian grocery store Little Lagos Market, 1424 W. Devon Ave., to learn about Nigerian cuisine. Dr. Robert Launay, Professor at Northwestern University, will be our guide along with Colleen Sen, culinary historian. Then we will arrange carpools to Senegalese Restaurant Badou, 2055 W. Walking Tour: Howard Street, Then and Now

Join experienced guide and historian Glenna Eaves on a walking tour to get better acquainted with another street in Rogers Park.
