St. Henry’s Cemetery is Chicago’s only surviving churchyard cemetery, the final resting place for many of the original settlers of Rogers Park and West Ridge. Join our favorite cemetery historian Glenna Eaves for a tour that tells the stories of generations of farmers, builders, merchants, entrepreneurs and artisans laid to rest in this intimate, beautifully-maintained graveyard. You’ll learn how their lives and accomplishments helped shape our community, and discover surprising stories including a tragic unsolved murder mystery, the inspiration for a well-known ballpark treat, and a romance sparked by the Great Chicago Fire.
