Discover some of the historic bars and nightlife venues in Rogers Park on this 1.5 mile walking tour/bar crawl along Devon, Sheridan, and Glenwood. Learn how battles over prohibition, dancing, and movies shaped local bar culture as well as the boundaries of the neighborhood. Find a new place to wet your whistle or see an old favorite with new eyes!
This tour will be led by students in Loyola’s graduate history MA and PhD programs.
Participants must be 21 or older. The tour will stop briefly at 4 bars along the tour route, so please bring a photo ID and cash or credit card with you on the tour. The cost of drinks is not included in the ticket price.
The tour will begin at Cunneen’s, 1424 W. Devon Ave, 60626.

To pay the fee: The walking tour costs $5 per person for RPWRHS members and $10 per person for non-members (drinks not included!).
