May 2 @ 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm
Clark Street has been our neighborhood’s commercial hub from the earliest days of Rogers Park to today. The event will start with a talk by neighborhood historian Glenna Eaves on the evolution of Clark Street over time. She will introduce you to the people and businesses that served and sustained the community for more than a century. Tickets are not needed to attend the presentation, from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. at the Rogers Park Library.
Starting at about 1:15 p.m., ticketed participants will walk with Glenna up Clark Street from Morse to Greenleaf Avenues. Tour takers will see for themselves what has changed and, surprisingly, how much remains in place. The walking tour will take approximately one hour.
Tickets for the Tour are $25, or $20 with RPWRHS member discount, paid in advance. There is no charge for attending the presentation.
