Building New Lives: The Story and Mission of RefugeeOne

As the largest resettlement agency in Chicago, RefugeeOne has welcomed more than 20,000 legal refugees through the U.S. Refugee Admissions Program since 1982.  Join us for a talk by Zachary Dmyterko, Communications Manager of RefugeeOne who will tell the story of the mission and work of RefugeeOne. He will be followed by Jeff Gonzalez, 49th Ward Outreach Coordinator for Alderwoman Maria Hadden, who will give a briefing on the resettlement of asylum seekers from southern border who have recently arrived in the 49th Ward, and how community members can get involved.
