Visit the graves of the founders of Rogers Park and West Ridge, including Philip Rogers, Patrick Touhy and other distinguished residents on our guided walking tour of Calvary Cemetery led by our resident cemetery historian, Glenna Eaves.
Calvary is the oldest cemetery for Catholics established by the Archdiocese of Chicago and is the final resting place of many prominent Roman Catholic politicians, businessmen, and artists. On the border between Chicago and Evanston, this beautiful cemetery is a wonderful place to take a walk in the crisp fall air, while at the same time, learning more about the founders of our community. The tour is limited to 18 participants.
