Thanks for Your Support in 2022 and Best Wishes for 2023

As 2022 draws to a close, the Board of Directors and I want to thank our members, volunteers, sponsors and everyone else who has supported the Rogers Park/West Ridge Historical Society during the year.  While we’ve been a little light on programming as we continue to deal with the challenges of these turbulent times, we had a remarkable year. We were able to resume a few in-person events, from an Open House at the beautiful Lang House last December to two walking tours of historic St. Henry’s Cemetery, and, of course, the wonderful Historic House Walk: Newgard” Hidden Gems in September. We also continued our virtual programming with a magnificent dance performance at our annual meeting in March, followed by the story of a 1960’s garage band and an update on archeological findings in West Ridge.

These events all set records for attendance, and our membership and sponsorship grew as well, so financially, we’ve had the best year in over a decade. We’re moving into the new year stronger than ever, and we’re working on a full calendar of new programming we will be announcing soon.

We are grateful for your continuing support, and hope that you and your families are having a healthy, happy holiday season.  Here’s wishing  you the very best for the New Year!
