About fifty RPWRHS members and supporters logged on to Zoom on Saturday, March 26 for the 2022 General Membership Meeting. President Ken Walchak gave a report on the Society’s activities in 2021 and highlighted plans for the upcoming year. Then, members voted to elect two new members of the Board of Directors, Sarah Fiola and George Tobin, along with renewing the terms of three returning directors: Ken Walchak, Dona Vitale and Jim Cusick.
To conclude the meeting, we were treated to a performance, Beaten Path, presented by Mandala South Asian Performing Arts. The number featured Ashwaty Chennat, Mandala’s Artistic Director, in collaboration with composer Alvin Cobb Jr. in a Bharatnatyam dance and jazz percussion reflection on overcoming the challenges of the Covid 19 pandemic.
